Thriving Together: How a Community Can Transform Your Journey

Who on your team is helping YOU achieve your goals this year?

All through my 20’s, I enjoyed success not because of my own efforts, but because of an incredible community that pushed me, encouraged me, supported me, believed in me, and inspired me. I’m so grateful because I don’t think I had it in me on my own. But my community painted a picture of me that was better than who I was at the time, and almost for their sake I became that person. That realization of thriving together transformed me!!

That foundation of support became a springboard allowing me to grow into the fullest version of myself. Because of this journey I have learned there is a real value to being Number Two!
I benefited from a community of #2’s who were not asking for any recognition nor did they seek being in the spotlight themselves yet their encouragement pushed ME forward.

When I started hearing the horror stories of entrepreneurs, freelancers, coaches, and founders who feel like their backs are against the wall while dealing with hate from naysayers who don’t believe in them, it actually broke my heart. What they described was the exact opposite of the experiences that I had.
That was the moment I realized that I could keep building. I could build another business, I could build another team. I could have more impact on the world if I stood alongside the greatest leaders, the greatest coaches, and the people with the most aspiration & potential and helped them build their empires. Because I had experienced sufficient success and didn’t need to keep hunting for more I have been able to make this mental shift.

Thriving together

My greatest hope from this blog series and all the work that I do is that it might trigger someone to write to me asking for my help. I want you to feel that my words have been written with YOU in mind to help meet your needs or to solve a problem you face. This is how I lock into being a #2.
Many of us have been conditioned to believe that being number one is the ultimate measure of success. It pushes us to constantly vie for the spotlight, to outperform our peers, and to always seek personal glory. Yet, this can often lead to a sense of emptiness.

What if there was an alternative?

When I am hosting an event, yes, I am the face of the event, but my greatest hope is that someone in the audience might ask me to connect them with someone on stage. Maybe it’s a speaker or an investor that they believe could be their next potential business partner.
Everything that has my face on it is actually the bridge; not the destination. The destination is what happens after. A classroom where I’m lecturing, a worship that I’m hosting, an event that I’m leading, a keynote that I’m giving….It’s all done with the hope that some beautiful soul will come up to me and say I could really use your help, and that’s where number 2 locks in. I go to bed fulfilled on the days that I’m number 2 more than the days where I am number 1. Because number 1 is just planting the seed.

If someone comes up to me asking for my help… you might be wondering what I ask of them?

I ask for total commitment to making their dream come true. The one thing I cannot teach is your passion. I cannot teach you passion, but everything else I can help you achieve.
My motto is Start Now Start Simple and people with big dreams often struggle the most with clarity on how to start the journey toward that dream. Once you’ve got momentum and flow, it’s much easier to keep going. But how to START can feel insurmountable.

I am fully convinced I have incredible clarity in helping people START

All I need is your deep down inner passion to make it happen. I am good at motivating in how I work and communicate with others and can instill self-belief in others. I can instill confidence. I can help you grow the soft skills you need to achieve your goals. But the one thing I cannot give you is the desire to wake up in the morning and DO what you were made to do on this planet.

That desire is yours!

When you wake up each morning you are passionate about your dream and will do whatever it takes to make it happen, we will work well together to bring your vision to life.

Conclusion

In a world that often prioritizes individual achievement, it’s time that we challenge the status quo and acknowledge the immense value of being number two. By embracing the power of the community, – a thriving together – we can transcend personal ambition while still experiencing our own profound transformation.
Together, we can build businesses, assemble winning teams, and make an impact that goes far beyond what we could achieve on our own. United in our commitment to support, uplift, and empower one another, let us thrive together this year.
Join me on this journey, and together we can transform not only ourselves but also the world around us.

  1. This is a refreshing perspective. We don’t have to always push ourselves to be in the spotlight but maybe it’s better for us to collaborate with like-minded colleagues and together work to solve problems and make an impact.
