Today marks the milestone of our 100th blog post! First, thank you (yes, YOU reading this blog!) for joining us on this journey. These blogs have attracted over 12,000 unique readers from all over the world with our top visitors coming from the US, UK, India, Germany, Switzerland, and almost every country in the continent of Africa!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2021 I gave my team a challenge – to publish blogs more regularly. This wouldn\u2019t have been possible without the dedication of David France and Grace Ramamoorthy on the team who diligently write, edit, proofread, post and publish these blogs. Thank you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My mission has always been to provide you with resources that lead you to that crucial first step towards transforming your dreams into reality. Sometimes the biggest obstacle you face is not knowing where to start or feeling overwhelmed by the magnitude of your dreams. That sentiment has helped me stay consistent providing you with a wide range of voices and ideas from which to choose the best path forward. I\u2019ve been encouraged and re-invigorated by reading all of the responses of what this means to YOU and I wanted to share them as further encouragement to Start Now, Start Simple<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The foundation of your business starts with understanding who your products are and are not for. One big mistake happening in the online space is businesses talking to everybody; if you talk to everyone you end up talking to no one<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sharing a story that is both relevant and relatable is the key to building empathy with your audiences. This is true even for tech talks, financial reviews, and budget overviews. When preparing your talk, spend time thinking about what stories you can include that will resonate with the hearts and minds of your audience. Relatable stories are those that are told with refreshing honesty and transparency. The more relatable your story is, the more you will find the entire audience nodding with you in agreement.<\/em><\/gwmw><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The eyes are the Windows to the Soul<\/strong>! If you blink really fast that generally means discomfort or distress. If your eyes are dilated it generally is used to show interest or arousal. If you stare very intently at someone it usually shows attention or anger. Or if you look away it generally shows discomfort or distraction. If you are on screen during a virtual presentation and keep looking away the entire time your audience would think you were distracted and not present for them. Try to be conscious of these cues because when you are on stage or on screen you don\u2019t want your eyes to communicate a conflicting message.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
